Today I’m being selfish. I’d like to point out some stuff I’ve written.
First of all, check out the guest posts I’ve written so far. They are listed in the “Guest Posts” section on the right hand sidebar.
Second, here are a few posts I wrote in the past that are a few of my favorites:
- The Prick - I wrote this for poetry class a while back. Have a look and make sure to comment and let me know what you think about it.
- Link Protection and Remote Control Linking - I wrote this one back when I owned theebs.com. The information still works and is relevant even today. So if you’re an affiliate marketer, check it out.
- One Button MMO: Worth Billions? - This was a satire news article based on the fact that they were “dumbing down” video games, and especially Massively Multiplayer Online Roleplaying Games (MMORPGs for short). Remember, it’s a satire. Just like “The Top 5 Tips to Creating a Successful Business” from my guest posts is a satire.
- A Few Thousand Years - One of my first attempts at a fantasy story. Again, let me know what you think. And feel free to rate it with the stars under the title.
- Wal-Mart Made Me Do It - It needs work, but it’s one of my favorite short stories I’ve written. Part reality, part fiction. Let’s see if you can determine which part is which.
Don’t worry. I’ll only do about 1 of these a year. So until next year you’ll be getting posts written by other people. I just felt like being selfish today.

That’s about how I felt 2 days ago and how I feel today. See, I’ve decided that it’s time to stop “just” dieting and really starting to do some exercise especially if I want to fill out the skin where all this fat used to be.
My goal is therefore to do 100 push ups and 100 crunches every other day. 2 days ago I did 60 of each. It was tough. I seriously felt like I’d never done a push up or crunch before in my life. Which is not true, because I used to do them often in JROTC. Today, I did 100 of each. That felt even worse. But I know it’ll get better.
Just remember, the Diet Diary shows what I did yesterday. So you won’t see the 100 and 100 until tomorrow.
Now I just need to find some fun cardio to do every day and I’ll be happy.

Well, another month has gone by so it’s time for a picture update. When we first moved to Kentucky I was about to start student teaching. So I had to buy some dress clothes as I had been attending college for quite some time and only had what I called “college clothes.” They consisted of shorts, sweat pants, and sandals. So I bought some dress clothes.
Well, now I’m going to have to buy more dress clothes. The pants in that picture are the ones I had bought. They don’t fit anymore. I’m not going to give them to charity though. That would be like condoning 355 pounds as an appropriate weight for anyone. So, instead, I’m going to hand them to my wife so she can make some curtains, or maybe even a blanket.

I don’t know what it is, but ever since I started this diet, my tastes have changed. I think it may be because of the lack of sugar or something. I’ll give you a few examples:
1. Mustard - That picture is of mustard seeds. I used to hate mustard. Now I use it instead of mayonnaise on things like sandwiches. Did you know it’s actually good for you? And much better for you than mayonnaise.
2. Cheese - Used to I would only eat American slices, Parmesan, or mozzarella cheese. However, now one of my favorites is Pepper Jack cheese. I hated that one before.
3. Vegetables - I used to hate tomatoes. I also used to hate pickles. I could probably name a hundred vegetables I wouldn’t touch. But now, I’m liking them.
I think it’s because since I don’t eat as much sugar and bread, my taste buds are looking for anything different and filled with flavor. Have your tastes changed recently? Comment below and give some stories.

Today I want to do something different. I’m posting this Daily Read earlier than normal because I want you guys to help me. I want to laugh some more. So today YOU will be providing links to your favorite humor posts on other blogs in the Entrecard network. Take a moment to pick your absolute favorite humor post from a blog within the Entrecard network and then comment on this post with a description and link to the post. Now, to let you know what I do when I do these posts, I always subscribe to the blogs I’ve chosen, Stumble the posts I’ve chosen, and if I haven’t already, I write recommendations for the blogs that the posts were found on at Entrecard. You don’t have to do those, but I highly recommend it. I feel if it’s worth pointing out to my readers, it’s worth doing those other things for. One last note: Make sure it’s a post you DID NOT write. Pick a post from someone else. That’s what the Daily Read is all about.
I’m looking forward to your picks for funniest posts.

Today you get the recipe that sits in my refrigerator. I’ll explain in a moment. But first, the recipe:
Parmesan Crisped Chicken
Ingredients:
1 egg
2 Tbs. milk
3 lbs. of chicken
3 Tbs. of margarine or butter
Ingredients for Crumb Mixture:
3 parts cornflake crumbs (mash up some of the generic stuff)
2 parts Parmesan cheese
Salt and Pepper to taste
Directions:
- Preheat Oven to 350 degrees.
- Wash the chicken and pat dry.
- Dip chicken in liquid made form egg and milk.
- Coat Evenly with the crumb mixture.
- Place in single layer, skin side up, on a wire rack in a sheet pan. (If you don’t have a wire rack, make sure the pan is well-greased or lined with foil)
- Drizzle with the margarine.
- Bake for an hour without covering the pan or turning the chicken.
So what did I mean about keeping it in the refrigerator? Well, when we first made this chicken, we liked it so much that we print out the recipe, attached it to an empty Parmesan cheese shaker, and filled the container with the crumb mixture to make it easy to do it in the future. Every once in a while, we refill the shaker with more mixture.

So I pasted in the template and now I can’t think. So, I don’t think there’s going to be a daily read tonight. Instead, I’m dedicating this Daily Read in the memory of a beloved group of brain cells that met their demise at the hands of Biostatistics, American Poetry, and Integrated Mathematics for Teachers. Shame on them.
Ok. Ok. I did see one post tonight that had me rolling. Then I looked around at the site and all of the posts started me rolling. So now I’ll take my virtual rolling pen (I’m definitely in a brain foggy moment when I make bad puns like that one.), and tell you all about it.
Wait. Nevermind. I don’t have the brain power to do that. So, why don’t you just go read the post yourself: Want The Government Watching Your iPhone or Other Devices???
I secretly love his tag line too. Wait. Did I type that out loud?

So I’m sitting there with my family and just like clockwork when the clock chimed 8 o’clock, the phone rang. You probably get these calls too. They begin something like this: “Mr. White. I have an exciting offer to tell you about…” And they usually end quick enough like this: >click<. Do you just hang up on them too? I always have. Until tonight.
Since I’ve become an active member in the blogging community I’ve gotten to read tons of marketing blogs. They also basically spout the same information over and over so I’ve about learned it by heart. So I decided to have some fun this time. The conversation went like this:
“Hello?”
“Mr. White. I have an exciting offer to tell you about…”
“Would you like to monetize your phone calls?”
“I’m sorry sir?”
“Monetize your phone calls. You know. Make money with your phone calls?”
“Yes sir. I’m a telemarketer. Now this offer…”
“Have you ever heard of Con Jow?”
“Con Jow?”
“Yes. He’s a well known phone call monetizer throughout the callosphere.”
“The call o what?”
“Nevermind. My point is that he recommends that you use Callvertiser to monetize your calls.”
“Sir. I’m trying to tell you about a cruise, so let me tell you about the different stops…”
“Callvertiser can benefit your calling business tremendously. Throughout your calls audio ads will interrupt and get the caller’s attention so they can buy products from you as an affiliate.”
“One stop is in Cancun and the water is lov…”
“Grab a pen.”
“Grab a pen sir?”
“Yes. Grab a pen. I want you to take down this number real quick.”
“Ok sir.”
“The number is 1-800-382-5968. Make sure to dial extension 3825.”
“Is this your office sir?”
“No, that’s my affiliate phone number to Callvertiser. You’ll learn everything you need to know about this great service there.”
>click<
It was nice to be the one hung up on this time. So, next time a telemarketer calls, have a little fun. You might even start looking forward to 8 o’clock at night. I know I can’t wait. And thank you Internet marketers for the “ammo.” I appreciate it much.
