The Daily Read – 01/01/2008

Filed under Reader | Posted by Saphrym

The Daily Read(The Daily Read is a series of blog posts written on posts that have been found throughout the Entrecard blogosphere. If you’re interested in having your own post listed here, send me a link to that post THROUGH ENTRECARD. You can do so by clicking on the “E” on the Entrecard widget to your right. I will take a look and respond to let you know if it will be featured here.)

Tonight we have a serious matter, some controversy, and then just plain old humor. Tons and tons of humor. I love humor and tonight is a good night for it. Go read, Stumble (I already have), and subscribe to these blogs. You’ll thank me later. (Or you may hate me later, in which case I apologize in advance.)

  • Autism Reading ProgramTexas Medical Freak – Wow. This post touched me. I’m a substitute teacher and sometimes work with autistic children who just can’t read. To find out there’s a way for them to dos is amazing. Read this one for a little heart string pull.
  • Self Sustaining EcosystemChexed – Remember the old days when Mr. Wizard used to make science fun? Ah yes, being a 12 year old boy watching that show actually got me into stuff like magic tricks and such. Well, Chexed takes it a step further and makes it fun and funny. The posts are all well written and comical. This one explains the creation of a real working self sustaining ecosystem. Even if you’re not a science geek, you’ll appreciate this one.
  • Controversy and Kicking Ass Drives TrafficCyberStreet Report – Talk about kicking ass, this article does so. It points out that controversial marketing actually works. He points to other articles that go more in depth about the topic. This is a great piece to read whether you’re a controversial blogger or not.
  • Ode to PensAbout Every Little Thing – Blogging is about writing, or at least it should be. This site provides plenty of written material. This particular post is very witty and amusing. I had to smile the smile of a writer as I read it. I’ve been there trying to find that perfect pen. And it truly is like trying to find a soulmate.
  • 2008 PredictionsStation Atomica – I can’t belive how many original and humorous web sites there are out there. I love ‘em all. And this is one of them. 2008 predictions is a travel through time with a biting sarcasm and tongue lashing that truly leaves your brain spinning. I love this post. I hope most of it comes true.

And I have one more post I’d like to point out. It’s titled: “Introducing Entrecard’s First Sellers: Happy New Year, You’re All Winners!” This is a phenomenal step for Entrecard and it’s users. And it just so happens that yours truly got in on the action. I’m ecstatic! Thanks Woobie! ;)

There’s always interesting posts. I find a lot more than 5 a day, but if I wrote about all of them, I wouldn’t have time to eat, sleep, etc. ;)

Thanks for the “indirect link” by way of CyberStreet. Stumbled.

For some reason, your commenters info box doesn’t remember us from last time. Is it supposed to?

I’ve changed the software a little since last time you commented here, Sam. So it probably changed the cookies too.

    Anyone else having this problem?
