(The Daily Read is a series of blog posts written on posts that have been found throughout the Entrecard blogosphere. If you’re interested in having your own post listed here, send me a link to that post THROUGH ENTRECARD. You can do so by clicking on the “E” on the Entrecard widget to your right. I will take a look and respond to let you know if it will be featured here.)
As always, if you like the posts I’m showing you, Stumble, Digg, etc. them. Give them some love because it took them time to do this work. And blogging is work. I promise. I spend like 6 hours a day doing work for this thing. But I love doing it. “Do what you love and love what you do.” That’s an oldie but still rings true. (Hey, I rhymed!)
- Loving my 2008 Pekochan Calendar gift - Jamaipanese.com - This is a great site to examine the concept that people of all races can get along and help out each other. Even the name impresses me. This particular post shows something even cooler. See, bloggers talk about something called “link love” whenever we send links to other blogs. But in this case, one blog sent somethign entirely different than a link to another. Made my heart swell. Check it out!
- Is your life / business a rocking horse? - PACE with Emmanuel Oluwatosin - Tonight is a night of inspiration. First I’m inspired by the blogger gift. Now I’m inspired by a story and some very kind words. Read this one. I’m not saying anymore. Just read it.
- Web 1.0, Web 2.0, now Web 3.0 - iMod - This is a great write up of where the web has been and where it is going. I’ve seen others try to write something like this, but this one is simple to understand and very well written. This was enlightening. Christopher had a good eye to find this article. The rest of his site is great too.
- Alien vs Predator: Requiem - Swollen Pickles - That name cracks me up every time I see it. For multiple reasons. None of which I am sharing here. This is a fun to read blog with a very eclectic taste in topics. This particular post is a review for a movie I’m really wanting to see. So I found it personally enjoyable to read.
- Stop, Read, and Enjoy All You Stumblers - CyberStreet Report.com - Yeah. This one mentions me, so I’m biased. But still, more bloggers should get into this habit. I keep peddling the same thing right above these listings. Reno does it with more style though. So go read his. And make sure to subscribe to his feed. If you’re a blogger, this is a MUST read every time he posts something new. Seriously. If you don’t do it now, I’ll hunt you down and give you 1000 lashes with a wet noodle. (Or is that 1 lash with 1000 wet noodles. I can never remember.)
