Remember the pants from my end of January after picture? Well, that size you see in the picture to the left is the size of those pants. That’s right. I had to order pants that were 62 inches at the waist. That’s a screen clip from the e-mail I just found showing the stats on the pants. I had to order them from a special place because pants that big aren’t easily found.
Well, today I decided to measure my waist. I put the measuring tape around my waist at the spot where I always where my pants. I brought it to 62 inches and laughed because I just couldn’t believe that I used to be that big. I brought it down to 55. Still wasn’t small enough. Finally I just tightened it to a comfortable measurement. I looked down and my jaw dropped. 49 inches. My waist is now 49 inches (and that was after eating dinner). 62 inches minus 49 inches is 13 inches. I’ve lost over 13 inches! Excuse me as I go shout this somewhere.

Wow, that’s incredible! Number don’t lie and this is a perfect example of why you should both weigh yourself on a scale AND use a tape measure because sometimes the scale gets stuck, even though you’re real making progress.
