My cat doesn’t take walks with me like this one does.1 It would have been nice to have the company today though. I made my walk to the post office. Had the two heavy books in my backpack. And no, I didn’t walk 5 miles in the snow one way to school. I walked 1.2 miles to the post office. I then walked 1.2 miles back. Coming back was much easier. The books were gone and the hilly part of the road was now downhill.
But guess what… It felt good. I haven’t walked that kind of distance in years. And it felt good. Sure, I dealt with some muscle pain but the walk was very invigorating. Also, I’m still kind of new to hills and such, so the scenery was breathtaking compared to the flat swamp lands of Louisiana.
Today was a good day. Take a look at these numbers:
