Anyone else like breakfast for dinner? Well, at least in the United States fried eggs and toast is considered breakfast food. But that’s what we had for dinner. I love breakfast for dinner. I think it all started back in my high school years:
See, my friends and I would hang out on the weekends. We’d go to the local hot spots and talk about things that high school boys talk about.
“Wow! Really?! It’s possible to…”
“Yes it is. I’ve got a cousin who is double jointed in his back. He can do it.”
“Wow.”
“Yeah. I know.”
And then after we did some talking, we’d do other things high school boys did, like drive through the golf course in a Datsun B-210 and take the ball washer rags. The driver, me, got to keep one rag to use as an oil rag. The passenger got to keep one as a souvenir. Oh, and concrete bridges aren’t always big enough for a Datsun B-210. But it is still possible with just the right… luck.
And then finally 10 or 11 o’clock in the evening would show up and we’d all be hungry.
“Shoney’s breakfast bar?”
“Yep.”
And that’s the legend of breakfast for dinner in my life. Do you have one? Feel free to comment about it.

Yum, breakfast is definitely my favourite dinner. We used to eat breakfast really late on weekends and we would always have a huge fry up so that probably kicked it off then when I met my partner we used to eat in a place called Benny’s before we went home and we always got some version of a fry/grill. As long as it had fried eggs I didn’t mind
Plus, it was my hangover cure too when I would wake in the middle of the afternoon…dying. That was a very long time ago though

The other place where I lived was called Denny’s. So it was either Shoney’s breakfast bar or Denny’s grills. Denny’s was normally for 3 to 4 o’clock in the morning though.

I probably have breakfast for dinner once a week. I’ll get a hankering for eggs and salsa, or for pancakes. Or, more likely, there’s nothing else in the refrigerator and I don’t feel like going out grocery shopping!

Now you’ve gone off and mentioned pancakes on a dieter’s website! What’s wrong with you man! Just kidding. I can still eat them. Just less of them and sugar-free syrup.
