I’m Keeping it Off

Filed under Dieter | Posted by Saphrym

Ok. Nothing fantastic. I know. I haven’t lost the last few pounds to make my 100 lb. weight loss goal just yet. Nothing spectacular has happened in my diet. I haven’t made any breakthroughs because I just haven’t been focusing on it right now1. I’ve been focusing on my students who I will no longer be teaching next week, and that saddens me2.

But I have kept the weight off. Considering it’s been over a year since this diet started, I think it’s actually a great thing that I’ve lost 90 pounds and kept it off. It’s gone. It’s not coming back. And I’m not going to let it.

So, no. I haven’t lost any more weight. But I’ve done something that is just as tough. I’ve kept it off. I’ve kept 90 pounds of weight away from me. And I’m quite proud of that.

  2. Seriously. It does. I’m only substituting for them right now because their teacher had a baby, but she will be back next week. I’m going to miss my kids. I’ve had them for over 2 months, so yes, I claim them as mine right now. [«]

Congratulations on the weight loss. I’m still struggling to lose weight but I’m slowly getting there. It’s a challenge but hopefully soon, I’ll reap the rewards.

@MommyBa: It’s a long hard road sometimes. It helps to do things like blog about it though. It gives you accountability. On my sitemap page you’ll notice where I kept my dieting diary right here on the blog when I was losing the large amounts of weight. It helped.

@John’s Weight Loss Blog: Thanks. And yeah. I’ll find it. I’m giving my body a break. When I get back to fully dieting, the eight should drop quick just like last time. I’m almost there. I can feel it.

I wish I could lose weight like you did. I love me my pasta, pizza and lasagna too much I suppose. :(

Congratulations on your journey to health. I have had difficulty maintaining a healthy weight after back surgery.

    Blessings

@Faith and Facts: Physical problems make it tough. I had back issues and such when I started just because of how big I was and a wreck I had been in. But it is possible to get past them by eating right first. Then as you get smaller and start doing exercises recommended by your physical therapist, you’ll get the strength to be able to continue getting even healthier.
