Isn’t she cute? She saw that hat at the store and just HAD to be like Daddy with his. Those of you who read often know that in my Before and After pics and my videos I’m always wearing a hat. Well, hers is the same style but blue.
This post, other than the Diet Diary, has nothing to do with dieting, but everything to do with dieting. Let me explain:
My family is the reason I am dieting. My wife and my daughter are the most important to me. Now, if I was to put a picture of my wife up here, she’d slap me and make me sleep on the couch (don’t women know that actually feels like camping to us men?). But both of them are very important to me. I want to live to see my grandchildren. I want to watch my daughter walk down the aisle. I want to grow old with my wife and hold her hand as we walk through the grocery store chatting about the things we did yesterday. I want to see my daughter graduate. I want to retire with my wife and watch daytime television with her as we sip our coffees in the recliners and take vacations to distant lands once a month. But if I don’t lose weight, none of that will be possible. None of it.
So although this post is about my family, it is indeed about my dieting.
One last thing: A while back I wrote poetry and short stories, but they got lost on this blog because only 2 people read it back then (my wife and my mother-in-law). So I’d like to point out 2 of the poems right now because they were written about my daughter and mother.

2. Cocoon of an Angel - My mom passing away but with a happy ending.
I hope you enjoy those as much as I enjoyed splashing my feelings on the paper.

Blood Sugar: 124
Weight: 283.8 (Don’t jump. This new scale is off by 1.2 pounds, but I’m not going to fret over that. Just going to use it from now on.)
Fat Percentage: 48.2%
Water Percentage: 30.1%
Muscle Percentage: 34.7%
Food and Exercise from Yesterday
Fluids: Water (16 oz - 5 times a day)
Exercise:
None.
Meal 1:
1/2 8oz Filet Mignon (We splurged)
1/2 Baked Potato
Carrots

1 Slim Fast 220 Calorie Optima Bar
Multivitamin
(You can commence yelling at me for not eating enough yesterday.)

Hi, I’m also a dieter that started out in the 3’s and is now in the 2’s. What worked best for me was a supplement called “Spiru-tein” and exercise. Right now you’ve got me beat in total weight lost, but not by much. I slacked off during the cold holidays; now I’m back on track. I’m ready to make another push. Time to start getting ready for the summer now.

Thanks for the tip. We don’t have any nutrition stores out here, so I don’t know where to find that unless I buy it on the Internet. But I might just check it out.
