I have two girls- one is 17 and one is 4. They currently spend a lot of time getting on each other's nerves.
Also, Lil' Miss (17) went today to talk to an Army recruiter. She's thinking of going into the reserves. I'm ok with it as long as she's not deployed. Then, I think, I would lose my mind.

Ouch. Yeah. Thank goodness mine is 8 going on 35. She can't go into the military right now. Of course, with the way things are going, the war will still be going on in 10 years. So never can tell.
However, I wish she wasn't an only child. She has that “only child whining” issue. She knows it doesn't work with me, but she does it anyway. So I guess there are pros and cons about both situatons: Only child and w/siblings.

I call that “Only Child Syndrome”. TheMan still has it a little and, since my girls are 13 years apart, Lil' Miss still sometimes has it.
I waited to have Lil'lady because when Lil' Miss was young I was single and not financially where I'm at now. I felt that it would be unfair to take what little she had (as far as my time and money) and give it to another child. I think it worked out all right.

Yeah. We're trying to spread it out too. Figure it might help to have help. And my daughter loves younger children. So maybe things will change when we have another child.
