(The Daily Read is a series of blog posts written on posts that have been found throughout the Entrecard blogosphere. If you’re interested in having your own post listed here, send me a link to that post THROUGH ENTRECARD. You can do so by clicking on the “E” on the Entrecard widget to your right. I will take a look and respond to let you know if it will be featured here.)
Sorry about the lack of these in recent days. Been swamped with stuff here at home as college just started back up. But they should be back on schedule from this point on. As always, support these sites with a Stumble or a Digg if you like them! Or both of course. And make sure to subscribe if you want more.
- What Are Your Social Marketing Goals - Chain Drop - This is a great article to get you thinking about why you join MySpace, Facebook, MyBlogLog, etc. The site is also run by some good friends I’ve met over at Entrecard. So make sure you read the entire site. Heck, you might even find a review of your site there if you look carefully.
- Don’t Quit Your Day Job! - Shop Dog Diaries - I love the site and the concept behind it. However, this particular post really caught my attention. I’m used to it starting the way it did because a lot of people who want to make money with blogging do start out that way. However, this post was refreshing because it went on to explain what she does as a day job and showed some great artwork. I don’t know about you, but I like her day job.
- When a Choice Isn’t - Fabulously Jinxed - This has to be one of the better written opinion blogs I’ve seen. This particular post speaks of the always debated abortion and the ideas and thoughts represented and linked to are beautifully crafted. Fabulously Jinxed? Nah. Fabulously Gifted is more like it.
- Displaying the Most Popular Posts in the Sidebar - WP Themes Gallery - This is a great site for you WordPress junkies out there. I’m one too. As for this post, I was recently told that I should include a most popular post widget on the side bar. Well, this post told me how to do so. So I’m very thankful. This, of course as the name implies, is also a great place to find WordPress themes that are reviewed and explained.
- 16th Floor & the Dog - TLE Travels Asia - This was an adorable post and a great metaphor. You’ll have to read it to understand what I mean. The entire blog is a great read though. It has great pictures, historical facts, and fresh opinions straight from the author.

Thanks for the plug! I really appreciate it. Hopefully I don’t scare anyone off.

@Jinx - If my ugly mug doesn’t scare people off, your post won’t.

Wow! Thank you so much. I look forward to “really” reading your blog. I think it’s such a neat concept that you’re willing to transparently share your weight loss experience. Now that you have such a following (and a little controversy lately to boot), it probably keeps you on your toes and faithful to your diet. I suggested that my husband and I, and Buddy too, should do something similar. But it’s always that first step that’s the hardest. I personally have about 100 pounds to lose. I wrote a little blurb on my blog about this article and linked back to you. Thanks again!

@Heidi - Having this blog has made it much easier to stay on my diet. It provides accountability. John over at JohnisFit.com wrote an article about that very concept:

And you’re welcome. You have a wonderful blog.
