(The Daily Read is a series of blog posts written on posts that have been found throughout the Entrecard blogosphere. If you’re interested in having your own post listed here, send me a link to that post THROUGH ENTRECARD. You can do so by clicking on the “E” on the Entrecard widget to your right. I will take a look and respond to let you know if it will be featured here.)
So… how do you like my new digs? I know it’s a template that is used often, but it really fit what I wanted to do with the site. And I modified it to suit my purposes. Oh… make sure to share the following posts with your friends. Please.
- Guy Things To Do Before You Die - Fat Man Unleashed - I’ve mentioned Israel’s site once before. But my wife pointed out this post to me tonight and I just couldn’t help myself. This list makes perfect sense. And while I was reading it I was thinking, “I’ve done that one. I’ve done that. Not that one though.” I’m not tellin’ which ones I’ve done.
- 3 Ways to Proper Usage of a Library - Cubecul - Great post with tips on studying for school. I also like the site because it has tons of great tips for students of all ages. Check it out even if you’re not a student though, because “there’s no such thing as too much learning.”
- Look Up from the Keyboard - Jason Boom - I love the metaphor of grenades being used for the audiences attention spam. Go read it to find out what I mean. Oh, and he’s also running a contest: Let the Weekly Contest Begin!
- I stood up to a 7-year-old — baby steps I know, but it still felt good - Cardiogirl - Very cool post that a lot of people can probably relate to. If you’ve ever been in a situation where you felt that although people were offending you, you might offend them for correcting the situation, then you need to read this. If you haven’t been in that situation, bravo, but read it anyway.
- How I Doubled my RSS Subscriber Count Over Night - My quest to make money on the internet - I just about smacked my head. See, when I saw the title I was looking for something spectacular. However, it’s the kind of feeling you get when you find out how a magic trick was done. You smack yourself on the head and say, “Duh! Why didn’t I think of that?!” Go read and you’ll understand.

@Cubecul - My pleasure. I’ll definitely be returning to your site. Maybe you can give me some tips on how to read 400 blogs, write posts, spend time with my family, and do homework for Master’s level classes efficiently.

p.s. What’s with the avatar? Does it assign green to chicks and red to guys? Or does it just know I’m a pushover?

p.p.s. Last comment on this post, I swear. Thank you so much for the Stumble!
By far, I have received the most traffic from this one stumble since I started blogging. I said it before, I’ll say it again: You DA MAN!
Many thanks!

@Cardiogirl - You’re very welcome. And as for the avatars, they are generated randomly based on the e-mail address you provide. That’s why they stay the same for the same people. If you go to http://gravatar.com you can set up your own avatar instead of the random one.
@Gary - Thanks.
