(The MWF Read is a series of blog posts written on posts that have been found throughout the Entrecard blogosphere. If you’re interested in having your own post listed here, send me a link to that post THROUGH ENTRECARD. You can do so by clicking on the “E” on the Entrecard widget to your right. Yep. I know. I skipped my weekend posts. Sorry. Had a blizzard so was kind of busy. I’ll update you on my dieting this coming Saturday. I will say I didn’t follow my diet like I was supposed to and learned my lesson. More on that Saturday. I also have a funny story to tell about the blizzard that I was going to write yesterday, however, that’ll wait until tomorrow. Here’s the posts I picked for today:
- Obesity Kills
By: Shop Dog Diaries
My last post was a moment of silence for Heidi’s husband. Here she explains what happened. I’d consider this an extremely important read for anyone who is still putting off their dieting. - Time Change DST Costs Money
By: the Futon Poncho
Interesting turn of events, but in this day and age, it makes complete sense. - Interview: Maria V. Snyder
By: Venassa Giunta
Poison Study and Magic Study have been on my wishlist at Amazon for a while now. I’m a huge fan of fantasy novels. This is a great interview with the author of those books. - Those users are crazy
By: Phirate
I thought this was a funny post by the coder behind Entrecard. If you’d like to see a photo of him with the pizza we all chipped in for, check out this post on the Entrecard blog too: Pizza for phi - So Mom IS right sometimes, then?
By: Mad About Kids
Very funny post about a lesson learned. Must read. (I deal with a drama child also.)

I miss my drama kids. all grown and gone now. My oldest has two of those smarty pants drama kids himself. Today is My Mom’s 74th birthday and I have long since realized that she was a very smart woman; well except that she had eight kids. I woulda quit right after ME! and only had six! Then she opened a day care and kept 125 kids daily and nightly.. She had daycare open for three shifts so that the working people; as she used to call the ungrateful parents who paid her ten dollars a week to keep their mean kids; could work in peace knowing their babies were safe. Then when I was 16 and just married; which meant she had only two brats left to drive her crazy; she opened a foster home. She raised 21 foster kids before finally giving that up because she hated the way the state moved kids so often. Even now she still baby sits one little boy after school every day.. This is the first time she hasn’t had at least a half dozen of the pouty little monsters around her at all times. Hmmm On second thought.. Nah I still think she is a smart woman!

Thanks, Saphrym, for bringing this peek into some of your favorite EC sites and posts. As much as I read different blogs in a day, I sometimes miss the most interesting ones
Phirate certainly has a delectable pizza purchased with his pizza dough!
My kids are grown and gone, but I do have a drama grandchild, so even though remote, I can certainly empathize with Mad

@Patsy – Wow. And I thought my mom having 10 brothers and sisters was a lot.
@Margaret – That’s why I love doing these posts and probably will for quite some time.
