Evil Woobie inspired me to enter the Entrecard Seller Status contest with her comment on this post. So that’s what I’m going to do:

First of all, I have to say that Entrecard has been a blessing to my website. I’ve garnered tons of traffic and now some regular readers that I’m actually connecting with and creating friendships with. Without Entrecard, I’d probably still only have my mother-in-law reading this blog. No one can tell me that sites like Entrecard don’t help you get REAL traffic. As long as you work at building the relationships, you’ll get the real traffic.

Now, what Entrecard has recently done is opened up a shop on their site. Currently you can buy stickers, a pass that allows you to jump to the front of an ad queue line, and a shiny orange color for your card information throughout their site. These are great purchases, and because they limit the number of them, makes them that much more valuable in the Entrecard world. They plan on doing more, such as purchasing widget designs, more swag, and better features such as upgrades statistics. This is a great new feature and gives more value to the Entrecard credit. It just wasn’t enough that you could advertise on high traffic sites without real money, but they decided they must add even more value.

So the contest allows 6 people they select to be able to sell something through that store. Maybe you want to sell some digital goods like eBooks, or Entrecard ad designs, or even website designs. You get to choose your price and your product. But you have to win this contest to be considered for one of the six people who get to take advantage of this new system from the very beginning.

So here’s what I want to sell:

1. I’ll sell Entrecard Ad Designs for 250 Entrecard credits each. I’ve already done a few for free. You can find examples of them on my Flickr account. That price was mentioned in the contest information blog entry, but I think it’s actually a good price for this. Here’s a couple of my designs as an example:

2. I’d sell blog reviews. That’s what Evil Woobie mentioned, and now that I think about it, I’d probably love to do so. I already post a Daily Read post every day that mentions posts done my fellow Entrecard bloggers, but I’d love to review sites, and would be extremely honest with the reviews. An example review can be found here. That’s the one that inspired me to enter this contest per Evil Woobie’s comments. Now, a blog review would take me about twice as long as an Entrecard Ad because I don’t read just the front page to get an idea of the site, I have to read many posts within it. So it should cost twice as much. I’d probably charge 500 Entrecard Credits to do those.

So in conclusion, I’d love to sell my abilities on Entrecard. I’d sell Entrecard Ad Designs for 250 ECs and honest blog reviews for 500 ECs
