I feel like being nice. That happens often. It’s the reason I ran contests. However, I think it’s more fun to do it at a random time and for random reasons and even have random ways of picking who gets it. So today is my first Random Rewards post. These can happen just about anytime. Here are some reasons they may happen:
- I had a good day.
- I made some extra money.
- Someone made a really good comment on my site.
- Someone Stumbled a post of mine and the traffic was craaazy!
- Someone said something nice to someone else.
- Someone dropped their Entrecard on my blog at just the right moment of my happiness.
- Someone subscribed to my feed by e-mail.
- A butterfly landed on my nose.
Those are some of the reasons. Now what are some of the things I’ll do because of those reasons?
- Send you money through PayPal.
- Send you EntreCredits through Entrecard.
- Include you in my MWF Read posts.
- Add you to my blogroll.
- Randomly send you a gift certificate by e-mail.
- Send you a picture of the butterfly on my nose.
Tonight, I did two of those things:
- I sent someone 1000 ECs just for dropping and being a great reader.
- I sent someone $10.00 through PayPal for commenting on my blog AND being a subscriber through e-mail to my RSS feed.
You never know. You could be next.
Oh, and stay tuned. Tomorrow should be the day the winner is announced for my $250 contest.

@Nicole - When it happens, you’ll be the one I send it to.
(As for the feed reader, they are completely anonymous to the feed owner. I have no idea who subscribes by a reader. But e-mail addresses I can contact people with or send money to through PayPal.)
@Laarni and Gary - Thanks. It’s a lot more fun than having a contest for 2 months.

I didn’t know that.
But I don’t have Paypal anyway ;P

@Nicole - Won’t always be PayPal. I like gift certificates too.

Ramdomness sounds like a lot more fun and a lot less work than running a contest. Thanks for keeping the blog fresh.

What a very nice “pay it forward” gesture..there are not many willing to just do.. because they feel like it. But doesn’t it feel great!
I actually just packaged something up for someone who left a comment on my art blog - just because they were so nice! I hope for the element of surprise.

@kkrey - $10000? Wow. Wish I could have done that one. But no, it was only $10.00. One of these days though. One of these days.

As usual you are awesome. I love your blog. I love the fact that I woke up today. I loves having my family to share my life with . I love the fact that I can get around under my own power. I love the fact that I have a decent job. I love the fact I can pay my mortgage when so many are having a hard time doing so right now. I love having bloggers like you that make others feel good and leave us with a smile on our faces. One last thing. Because of reading your blog I am going to try and lose weight. You have inspired me. Thank you for you!
PS I am not looking for anything from you. I just wanted you to know how I felt:)

Hi there,
I saw your post regarding your Random Rewards Vol 1. I am happy to say that I am joining in because I think it would be a lot of fun not to mention the opportunity to earn something.
I posted something about this contest in my blog and I wanted to link the exact location but am afraid I was not able to accomplish that.
Again thank you. I look forward to visiting your site everyday.
Cheers!

Did you send me like a gazillion EC points?

@Sue - Well, 1000, yeah.

Amazing! Not because you’re generous, or feeling like being nice, because I’m sure you are all the time. No, it’s because at the moment I have just over 300 ECs. It’s taken me all day and night to get there and I deperately need to use them on advertising. I just can’t imagine having so many on hand that you can give away three times as many! How the other half live

@A - I don’t advertise as much as I should. Didn’t want top spot in “Most Popular” anymore.
