DIET DIARY
NUMBERS FROM TODAY
Blood Sugar: 130
Weight: 282.4
Fat Percentage: 48.4
Water Percentage: 30.2
Muscle Percentage: 34.7
I know. I know. Blood sugar was kind of high today. However, having the flu means an increase in infection in your body which therefore also means a higher blood sugar. So it’s normal, I promise. But did you see? Although it’s probably sickness related also, my weight finally dropped again. 282.4. Yay! (And when compared to last time, the fat percentages have gone down and the muscle percentages have gone up. So it does make sense.)
Last weekend I hoped to unveil a new graphical theme and layout for the blog. Didn’t happen. Just now getting over being sick, so it didn’t happen this weekend either. ‘Bout the only thing I had time to work on this week other than laying in bed fighting the flu was doing homework and a little web surfing. Even managed to stare at a few very unreachable caribbean cruises. They may be cheap, but still out of my budget.
So there you go. Not much news because not much has happened. And don’t worry, I haven’t forgotten about the last Random Reward. I’ll pick a winner next Saturday and hopefully unveil the new theme and the t-shirt design. Until then, keep reading. More Katrina this coming week along with a few rants I’ve been meaning to voice.
And before you go, a quick poll to see if you’re interested in me videoing some of my graphics design work so you can “follow along” :

I wonder, did you get a flu shot? I don’t know as much about a diabetic as you obviously, but I wonder if this would have helped. I am an Asthmatic and I get a flu shot every year. So far I have been extremely fortunate. I have only had the flu once in my whole life and wish to never ever have it again. I certainly hope you are feeling better. Take care.

@Israel - They aren’t right now. No excuses. I just get bored doing them. But I’ve got a plan for that.
@ettarose - No flu shot, but I’m getting better. Just taking time.

Good luck with your diet. I struggle with my weight too. I know how hard it is to stay positive and to stick to it. Best wishes and I am going to be starting my diet next week too. Hopefully I will have as much success as you!

Hope you get over the flu soon (no fun I’m sure), and I’m looking forward to the Photoshop tutorials, esp. if you’ll be showing us how to make Entrecard icons!

You know 130 on your blood sugar is not that high. I have seen them in the 200’s and above. We do not even give insulin until it is 2oo or above. Are you a diabetic? Like you said being sick makes it go up

Good job on the weight loss. I’m in the same boat, blogging to lose. Should be an interesting tale and if nothing else, we have accountability.
Good luck!

Thanks for the get wells. Much appreciated.
As for the weight loss, I keep forgetting to put it, but for those of you who don’t know, my starting eight was 355 pounds.
@Carol - I was diabetic. I had an average of 290 blood sugar when I started my diet. I am no longer diabetic, but I still track it just in case.
